I'm a software developer looking to build data and mapping tools around public data in the oil & gas industry (things like centralized info postings, parsing/analyzing FERC filings, interactive interfaces to EIA data, rig counts, etc).

Is there any kind of data tool that you wish you had or is there any data that you spend a lot of time with where you wish you could easily filter out the noise?
